Ice cream. Ice lollies. Ice pops.
Let’s face it they are all dreamy in their own right and the best thing summer brings to the table. (Ok maybe not but they are up there). Don’t get me wrong I love a double caramel Magnum as much as the next person, but more often then not I don’t really fancy the sugar crash/headache that comes with it. So instead I love having healthy 5 ingredient banana ice cream that is completely natural, gluten free, refined sugar free and can be vegan.
However lets all be honest the only reason I love this ice cream so much is that I can have it for breakfast most days and not feel one jot ‘guilty’. This recipe comes together in a matter of minutes and can be eaten straight out of the food processor, however if you want it to be slightly firmer place in the freezer for 30 mins or so before serving. It is also great for dinner parties as you can make it ahead and pull it out of the freezer 10 mins before serving!
Ingredients: Serves 1
- 1 Frozen Banana
- 75g Frozen Raspberries
- 1 + 1/2 Scoop of SFN Vanilla Whey Protein (or any protein)
- 1 tsp Maca Powder
- 25ml of Milk
Blend the banana and raspberries in a food processor until they resemble a fine crumb.
Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
Either eat straight away or place in a airtight container in the fridge until you are ready to eat!
